In April 2016 the London Borough of Barnet entered a partnership with Cambridge Education, under which Cambridge Education will manage the Education and Skills service for seven years.
The partnership aims to maintain Barnet’s excellent education offer and the good relationship between the Council and schools, whilst also achieving the budget savings required by changes in local authority funding. Our traded services offer is built on what schools need, and will be offered to schools both within the Borough and beyond.
In 2018, Sandwell Council commissioned Cambridge Education to carry out a review of its Education Services, Children's Centres and Youth Services. Chris Ward, Director for Education, Skills & Employment, Sandwell Council said "We were very happy with the flexible approach taken by the team in shaping the review and in delivering the final report findings. We have found the work most useful in helping us to shape our services for the future. The council will be using the recommendations as a basis for redeveloping our universal support offer to children and families."
